Timberidge Baptist Church is a wonderful place for families of all ages to gather and worship. Sunday School is one of neatest parts of the entire worship service. My Sunday School Class is known as Youth 1. We think we are “youth ONE” because we are NUMBER ONE . Our class meets weekly, and consists of students, grade 7-8. Each week we get together and spend time catching up on the week’s events, share prayer concerns that we trust each other to take to the Lord. We open with prayer, and close with prayer. We believe that God is the best friend we will ever have. Following opening prayer, we dive into a great story from God’s word, using the Bible, of course, as our guide. We have a great time figuring out how each lesson applies to our world. Yep, we make it personal. After all, being a young teenager today, is no easy feat. The more we know about God, the more we can share with our friends and family. We firmly believe that Jesus Christ is Lord. We celebrate His gift of eternal life. Now ya just gotta know, students often take home an assignment (yes, homework) that can be applied to family life. It is exciting to hear the stories that come back with the “homework.” No worries, there is never a test, or grade. Sometimes we find a really neat idea to share with the church family during worship time. Who knows what we will come up with next.
Anyway, we are excited to be a growing class, and will be tickled to share our excitement with you! Come on over next Sunday. We can’t wait to see you.
